We named our German Shepherd Jerry Lee, after the K-9 character in the Jim Belushi movie. But our Jerry Lee quickly became so much more than just a name. This amazing dog would grow up to be not only our family's protector but also the inspiration behind everything we do at Mosquito Police. From the moment he joined our family as a puppy, we knew there was something special about him - we just didn't realize then how much he would shape our future.

From day one as a puppy, Jerry Lee showed us he was something special. Sure, he was a protection dog - and an exceptional one at that - but what made him truly unique was how he balanced that fierce protective instinct with the gentlest soul you could imagine. He wasn't just guarding our home; he was helping us raise our kids, watching over them with the same dedication and love that we did as parents.
"He wasn't just a dog. He was our protector, our children's guardian, and the most loving family member we could have asked for."
But life has a way of teaching us its hardest lessons through the ones we love most. In 2018, our world turned upside down when Jerry Lee was diagnosed with anaplasmosis - a serious disease caused by a tick bite. For two years, we watched our brave boy battle this illness. Despite everything we tried, his health kept declining, and in 2020, we had to say goodbye to our beloved protector.
Jerry Lee's battle with tick-borne illness opened our eyes to something bigger than ourselves. We realized that so many other families could be spared the heartbreak we experienced if only they had better protection against ticks and other pests. That realization became our calling, and Mosquito Police was born.
Jerry Lee's Legacy
Today, every yard we protect, every family we help, and every pet we safeguard carries forward Jerry Lee's spirit of protection. He taught us that protection isn't just about keeping danger out - it's about creating safe spaces where families can make memories together without worry.
In loving memory of our ultimate protector, Jerry Lee (2006-2020)
